Want a little more protein? Our Protein Crispies are made from GMO-free soja produced in Germany and are rich in protein (60g/100g). But how do these little white balls contain so much protein and yet are still light and delicious? The high protein content comes naturally from the well-know soja bean. But how does a soja bean become a soy crispy? Crispies are produced through extrusion. This process forms protein-rich raw materials into little balls, in this case. First, a mixture is formed from soja and maize, which of course contains water. As the "dough" is condensed in a heated screw press, it is pressed through a small vent. The vent causes a loss of pressure, which causes the mass to expand and dry, giving it its balloon form. The high level of plant protein is ideal for atheletes but also for anyone who enjoy a crispy addition to their muesli. It's the perfect add-on. Our Soja Protein Crispies are also completely free of added sugar or other addititives. They are especially well-suited as an ingredient in bars and other sweets for that extra portion of protein.
